Hello! Long time, no talk. Sorry I’ve been so MIA this week. I got home from my fabulous 4th of July away in PA and came down with something fierce. Between a busy work week and trying to get better, there wasn’t a lot of time to post. Oh yeah, plus I met up with some of my friends on Wednesday to celebrate a birthday and then traveled to Philadelphia this weekend to participate in The Color Run.
Now that I’m back in town, you’ll definitely be hearing more from me this week. Before that, to top of your Sunday night (or kick off your Monday morning), I have some links to share:
Happy (belated) Fourth of July! I couldn’t bring myself to the computer to wish you that, so a belated one will have to do.
I spent the first three days of the week working and then was off to rural PA for the holiday. I was there just long enough to catch a summer cold (bummer!) and now I’m back in Hoboken and trying to get healthy for tomorrow.
While I melt from the heat and this cold, enjoy these links:
Greetings! It’s been a crazy week, both here and everywhere else. My week consisted of going to a hot hula dance class with coworkers (think Zumba meets hula dancing) and taking a very long trek over the Brooklyn Bridge (keep your eye out for a Backyard Tourism post on that adventure). I even saw a rainbow while on a run, as you can see above. Not going to lie, I think it was a fitting week to see a rainbow sitting right next to the Freedom Tower. Now that it’s Sunday, I’m relaxing and prepping for a short work week, the 4th with friends, and a visit from the bf.
Happy Summer, everyone! I kicked off the official start of summer by making my way to the Jersey Shore. Luckily, it didn’t rain like it did the last time I went to the shore and I was able to catch some rays. Unfortunately, I caught too many rays and now parts of my body are lobster status.
While I rub myself with aloe and stay indoors, you should check out these reads:
Hello, friends and Happy Father’s Day! This week has certainly flown by, much like the ones before. We’re actually halfway done with June already. This week I went to a storytelling show with a coworker and a couple of friends and I flew up to Rochester for the weekend. All in all, a good weekend!
To get you through the rest of your Sunday (or your Monday morning), I have some fun links:
Happy Monday, everyone! We are officially in June and I’m officially loving the long days. There’s nothing like daylight late into the evening.
Now, to kick of the week, here are some sweet links:
Happy Sunday! How are you all doing? This week has been killer in terms of the heat. Hopefully you’ve been able to stay cool. When I haven’t been standing in front of my AC, I’ve been going to see former coworkers bands play, hitting up the mall, working on redesigning my professional portfolio and keeping as cool as possible.
To help top off your weekend, I have some links for you:
Hello all! I’m writing to you from the future. Yes, that’s right. From the future.
Did you believe me? Hah! Well, I lied. I’m actually writing this post ahead of time, since I’m planning to head out to Ocean City, NJ this weekend to celebrate a friend who has graduated from vet school. While I’m out catching some rays and avoiding the freezing cold water, please enjoy these reads:
Hello all! I hope you had a fabulous week. Mine started and ended with a lot of rain. On Monday, we had quite a bit of rain that caused some flooding on the streets surrounding my apartment. As a result, my daily shuttle ride to the PATH station was more like a boat ride than a shuttle ride. To finish off the week that started pretty wet, I got caught outside yesterday during torrential downpour.
Clearly, there was excitement all around! Hopefully your week wasn’t quite as wet.
To finish the week strong, here are some cool links:
I hope your Sunday is peaceful and relaxing. Let me tell you, it certainly is spring here. Before you head outside to enjoy some beautiful sunshine and spring weather, check out these reads:
